I ran across Sandee Royalty's blog when reading a post about offerings at Kate Spade outlets. On a whim I clicked over to her Etsy shop and was sold. Nice prints? Check! Fuller skirts? Check! Nary a pencil in sight? Check!
I hemmed and hawed and asked what I am sure were a million questions and then took the plunge. I elected to get the Katie Skirt in the Black and White Mega Dot print. I elected to have it lined and added a couple of inches to the length, as I am a tall gal.
It arrived a few weeks later, and I am delighted.
The skirt is a heavyweight cotton. I had also elected to get a wider waistband but should have just stuck with the usual width, as it was a tad too high up to my ribcage. In the pictures above the waistband is folded down, which works just fine as a solution. The lining is silky smooth and the zipper extends fairly far down, so you don;t feel as though you are wiggling into the skirt. This is a well made skirt and Sandee was very gracious in answering my million questions.
Now that my wardrobe purchases are fewer and farther between I have to be a lot more discriminating about what I buy. I;m glad I dedicated the funds to this skirt!
